Carrier’s Liability for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria

BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP undertakes to cover the carrier’s liability during transportation of goods pursuant to the Law for carriage of goods by road and Chapter 26 Section III of the Commercial Act except hazardous goods from Class 1а, 1в, 1с и 7 of the Convention for international road carriage of hazardous goods (ARD).

Upon additional agreement the insurance can be extended to cover the carrier’s liability for:

• transportation of livestock,
• containers,
• theft of goods in case of an armed robbery,
• theft of the whole vehicle.

BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP will indemnify any loss or damage to goods:

• up to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of missing gross weight in the Bulgarian leva equivalent, at the exchange rate of Bulgarian National Bank, as at the date of the insured event

or

• up to the value of the goods, according to the commercial invoice,
  whichever of the two is less.

The insurance is effected either for a specified period (1 months, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year) or for a particular transit.
