BULSTRAD wins the “Insurer of the Year” award

ZEAD BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP has received the most esteemed distinction in the insurance sector, 2024Insurer of the Year” for General Insurance. This award is recognition of the leading role of the company on the market, the high results obtained and the professional standards focused on the clients.

The award was presented to Mr. Nedyalko Chandarov, Chair of the MB and CEO of the company, by Mr. Grozdan Karadjov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications.

“This award is a high honor and recognition, but also a responsibility. I would like to extend my thanks to all colleagues in BULSTRAD, the Management Board, as well as our partners, but particularly to our clients for their trust. We continue to work towards development of the market and the introduction of innovative solutions for the benefit of our clients. I wish all my colleagues in the insurance sector good health and further and ever greater professional achievements,” Mr. Chandarov stated.

The award presentation ceremony took place on 1 October 2025, the official Insurance Day, at the Opera Hall of Astoria Grand Hotel in Sofia, in the presence of heads of governmental institutions and regulatory bodies and representatives of academia and the business sector.

The “Insurer of the Year” awards are conferred annually to recognize the best companies in the sector. Candidates are evaluated by an expert jury based on objective and public criteria. Organizers of the 17th edition of this event were: VUZF University of Insurance and Finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABI), the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies (BASPSC), Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation, and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers (BAIB).

The “Insurer of the Year” distinction consolidates BULSTRAD’s position of a trusted partner and leader for general insurance in Bulgaria.
