IVO GRUEV RECEIVES THE OVERALL CONTRIBUTION AWARD OF THE PROF. DR. V. GAVRIYSKI FOUNDATION Ivo Gruev, Executive Director of BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP was granted the award “For overall contribution to the development of Bulgarian insurance” of the Prof. Dr. V. Gavriyski Foundation.

The award was presented on 1 October, the Insurer’s Day in Bulgaria, during the official ceremony for the 28^th edition of the Foundation’s National Annual Awards at Marinela Hotel in Sofia.

Official guests at the ceremony included Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galab Donev, Bulgarian National Bank Governing Council Member Iliya Lingorski, National Social Security Institute Governor Vesela Karaivanova-Nacheva, Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) Chair Vasil Golemanski and others.

The award was presented to Ivo Gruev by Nikolay Stanchev, Management Board Chair of the Association of Bulgarian Insurers.

The evening also held a special significance for Mr. Gruev, as he received the high professional honor on his birthday which falls on the same day as the Day of Bulgarian insurers.

The prestigious award is conferred annually to established experts and managers for their comprehensive personal contribution to the development of the insurance sector in Bulgaria and it serves as recognition of the professionalism, leadership experience and consistent effort demonstrated by Ivo Gruev.

Ivo Gruev’s experience in the insurance sector spans more than 25 years. He joined Bulstrad in 2006 as a Deputy Executive Director, later becoming a Management Board Member in 2013 and an Executive Director of the company in 2016. His areas of responsibility include underwriting, reinsurance, claims, and legal activity. Since 2018, Ivo Gruev has also been a member of the National Bureau of Bulgarian Motor Insurers.

In his work he has brought deep expertise in the field of insurance, combined with an active dedication towards advancement and digital transformation of the processes, improvement of customer services and implementation of state-of-the-art solutions in the management of the company.

This distinction is a source of pride for the entire team of Bulstrad and yet another high recognition of the company management’s professionalism and contribution towards the development of Bulgarian insurance.
