Compulsory Personal Accident of Passengers in the Public Transport Insurance
The Personal Accident of Passengers in the Public Transport is a compulsory insurance under the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria for all providers of public transport:
- taxi cabs;
- railway transport;
- trolleybuses and buses;
- aircraft;
- all kinds of marine and river vessels;
- cableways and lifts;
The insurance provides coverage for the life, health and bodily integrity of passengers in public transportation and the persons who in the immediate proximity to the vehicle when boarding or disembarking.
The minimum sum insured for each passenger is determined in accordance with the effective regulations.
The insurance premium is calculated based on the number of seats in the motor vehicle.
